It is no secret that the earth, our home, needs our help. Have you ever thought of how much waste goes into the production of your favorite items? Do you ever wonder where your products end up after you are done with them? Well, I can answer both those questions for you with two simple answers: A lot and your county landfill. It’s time to start disposing of things responsibly; and here at Nerd Lab Studioz we vow to do just that. 

Over the next year we are implementing new strategies to make sure our company and the production of our products have no effect on our environment. We hope to inspire others with our efforts and make this world a better place.

For every donation or purchase you make on the Nerd Lab Studioz website a 5% donation is made to help fight climate change and a 5% donation is made to equal rights groups. In addition to our 5% donation Roylon Enterprises has now agreed to match every donation throughout the year 2023! With the help of Roylon Enterprises and the community around us we have the chance to make a difference and we intend to do just that. 

Nerd Lab Studioz products are all completely recyclable no matter what product. From our custom-made replicas to little collapsible hooks; everything can be recycled and does NOT have to end up in a landfill. We believe the little things help and recycling is just the tip of the iceberg of what we can do to help planet earth. 

Have you ever heard of a PETamentor? A few months ago, I would have had no idea what it was either. While looking into ways to repurpose our filament we came across a website http://www.petamentor.com. This company has created a way to turn recycled bottles into 3D printing filament. The project is completely open source, and it is built to help 3D printers create less waste. After tweaking the designs to work with our company’s needs, we have finally started constructing our own and plan on using only recycled and biodegradable filament after the first quarter of 2023. This way we can help fight trash build up and prevent bottles and other plastic materials from making its way into our oceans. 

The last step of our Go Green Plan is to integrate Solar Panels into our operation. It is no secret 3D printing can consume significant amounts of energy; that is why here at Nerd Lab Studioz we want to offset our energy consumption by running our 3D printers and computer batteries charged by solar panels. Located in Fort Myers Florida we have an abundance of sunshine, and we plan to put it to use, with solar power we can bring the footprint of our company down to nearly zero. We don’t just want to use the sunshine to create amazing products, we want the sun to light the way for a better future.
